I think the numbers are near enough but as there is a Goodwood meeting at the end of August I had to strip those out.

People tend to forget that the trainer whose horses are Always Trying does tend to throw a lot of darts at the board.

Clearly MJ has a10% strike rate Colin and as you suggest does better generally.

He certainly doesn't hit he headlines when he send 3 to Hamilton and 2 win. But send 5 to Goodwood and win 1 and your headline news.

He's always been a numbers guy and has many more runners in the year than the majority of top trainers .
