Did anyone see the Kempton 6.55?

I went out for a beer came back and had a quick look at the replays.

I've seen some poor rides in my time most of which you can live with because the jockey got caught ina pocket or asked a horse for big one when there was no need etc.

There was absolutely no excuse for this awful excuse for a jockey.

Jockeys get bans for dropping there hands or hitting a horse once too often.

This guy got this horse beat by showboating his ass off and if I were a steward I would have dragged him in and banned him for failing to give his mount the best possible chance of winning.

He was so busy looking good on a horse who was dying to run I honestly thought he wasn't off. You could visably see the race was getting away from him and he just sat there. Not even Nijinsky would have won from where he was shocking shocking ride.

I feel heart sorry for the thousands of punters who lost a small fortune on the horse and if I were the owner that clown would never ride for me again.

I had backed the winner and thought I was going to be picked up by the fav from a furlong out until about 5 strides out. He far it a shocking ride to my benefit.

Prior to his 2 recent wins, Marajaa was on a lengthy losing run, and has been a difficult ride down the years, but that doesn't excuse the ride. He visibly takes a pull on the horse when the winner is clearly going just as well in front of him. It was an error of judgement, no more, but one that stewards should certainly have had a look at, as it's hard to believe that he achieved the best possible placing ridden as he was.

Spencer and Paddy Aspell had a go at joining the awful ride club tonight. Watching it sometimes you do have to wonder.
