Some programme has come on Ch4 this evening about Madonna & I've found that despite the years & nearly 2 bottles of Sauvignon Blanc I can recite Vogue word for word....isn't she a great performer? I've got her Greatest Hits Vol2 somewhere (in an attic in Compton I'm sure) & it's ace. I really do think that despite her early music being absolutely classic, some of her best stuff has been in her later years. What does anyone else think?

Twenty five years at the top of her profession and still going strong, some going.
True Blue,Oh Father and Ray of Light would be my favourite tracks over the years.
Can heartily recommended her new album Confessions on a Dance Floor.
The current single Hung Up,Jump and Sorry are the highlights on that album.

I've always been a Madonna fan and must confess to owning all of her albums. Even when I hear one of her older songs that I maybe haven't heard for a while I find myself singing along, and like SL with Vogue, realise that I can still remember almost all of the words.

Gambler, Beautiful Stranger and True Blue rank among my favourites.

My colleague at work, who is gay mind you, is obsessed with Madonna. Pictures everywhere in his work station on her, homepage is Madonna, has his ring tone as Like a Virgin, and a picture of her as his screen saver.

Thank god she is coming out here in 2006 to Australia for a concert.

I also admit to liking her, my fave song is Like a Prayer, though Ray of Light is addictive. I think its a matter of not being vocally talented with Madonna, more a case of knows how to do a show properly. She always has that star quality when she performs.

Never too much of a fan but for me she gave the best performance of all the acts at Live 8 this Summer.

I thought she was fantastic at the MTV Europe awards in Portugal recently! Sex on a stick! Her legs are pheeeeeeeenomenal!

You wouldn't have said that if you were there. She didn't half go on a bit

When I was 8 I wanted to be her. I had fingerless lace gloves and thought I looked wonderful

There is something always so contrived and stagey about Madonna. She doesn't come across as a natural entertainer, more someone who's acting the part of being one. Now, take Tina Turner in concert and you've got someone giving 100% and really cutting loose.
