CONFUSION IN LEGER BETTING
There are differing favourites for the Ladbrokes St Leger following Patkai's defeat at Goodwood.
Sir Michael Stoute's charge could only finish fourth to Centennial in the Great Voltigeur at Goodwood and has been removed from the Classic by most firms.
Centennial, who made all to win Saturday's trial, needs supplementing for the final Classic but has been made 4/1 Leger favourite by the sponsors.
Sky Bet take a differing view and they quote John Gosden's charge at 7/1 behind their market leader Conduit (7/2).
The Harrogate-based firm have trimmed Alessandro Volta a point to 7s and go 12s from 18s about recent gamble Unsung Heroine.
Spokesman Dale Tempest said: "The Voltigeur was a real mess but Sir Michael Stoute and Ballymacoll Stud have another string to their bow with Conduit who is now our favourite.
"However Unsung Heroine is very much the gamble of the race, she was as big as 66/1 a few weeks ago."
