Not my kind of race, certainly not usually this far out, but I was pretty gobsmacked to see Concertista on offer at 14/1 so had to avail myself of some of that. She should be favourite.

The fact she’s been novice chasing all season surely a major worry DO.

As I’ve posted elsewhere, Tellmesomethinggirl has long been my best ante post bet of the week and I went in again at 16/1 when she was beaten in race that wouldn’t have suited first time out.

Her next run was much more encouraging.

Concertista was all over the press coverage when she won the Dawn Run. She does tend to hurdle her fences a bit which would worry me but there is absolutely no chance she'll go for the Mares Hurdle.

I actually thought Nicky might send Epatante for the 50k prize as she will be lucky if she holds on to 3rd place in the Champion this year which is only worth about 35k but that would be almost as stupid as backing Cocertista

Only problem is it would leave JP without a runner as Buveur D'Air looks very unlikely to be running.

As for the Mares Hurdle it looks like one of the toughest races of the Festival to me and I will be giving it a miss

It explains her price but Willie sends them for the races in which they have the best chances. I'm not convinced she can win win the mares' chase and I reckon she would have the beating of TMSG if they met over hurdles.
 
If Robbie Power makes a full recovery I doubt we’ll see him on Stormy Ireland after leaving a gap up the rail a couple of years ago.

Mullins interview after it still makes me laugh :lol: (just come across it on Twitter, brings back memories) Probably would have been Honeysuckles only L that day under different rides.
