Martin Dwyer & Paul Mulrennan

I could tell twenty better stories than this. That's mild compared to the carve ups that have gone on over the years. The outcry on Twitter was very naive.

The outcry on Twitter seems to be mainly from one person trying to make a bit of a name for himself by exposing this - Tracksuit Dave. Jockey bets on race - shock horror. I know one driver for a jockey that showed us a betting slip for a £500 straight win bet, horse was cruising 1f out and then found nothing. Jockey fancied the horse to win, driver placed the bet. Not sure if it was drivers bet or jockeys. I don't have a problem with jockeys backing their own horse as long as they are not laying them.

What about if they are backing ones other than their own mounts in the same race?

Slim, think most accepted this stuff was routine and there are many a story better than this but this is in the public domain as an actual conversation. Sadly, nobody has tapped McCoy's phone yet... :ninja:

I don't agree with backing other horses in the race you're riding in because you can't be riding yours to win if you have x amount of money on a rival. I think Mulrennan mentioned dropping his out the back and staying out of the way didn't he. The video of the race shows he did exactly that too. It's a shame as I really like Mulrennan. I've made a fair few quid this season backing him in sprints at the Yorkshire tracks.

Shock! Horror! Surely not those fine upstanding chappies Dwyer & Mulrennan??

Whatever next? Whoever next??

Can you imagine a champion jockey deliberately getting a horse beat?

Did Piggott ever do it?

Carson?

Eddery?

Shudder....

Yeah but it's just so boring. Pat Smullen, Declan McDonogh and various other Irish jockeys share a lift to the races. What do people think they talk about? I have Jamie Spencer and Pat Cosgrove stories that are a million times more entertaining that this bullshit.

just seems a load of boll*x to me..i just thought this was how jocks have always talked to each other..they bound to discuss horses they have ridden with each other

what actually have they shown here?..that they have a bet?.

just seems tame
