Didn't know people could do the latter but I don't understand how anyone can make in-running betting at home pay given said delays.

The stream is already up to five seconds behind the live action and there's another 5-10 seconds delay for online in-running bets to be confirmed. That could be nearly a furlong in a five-furlong sprint.

Without even checking out the link, I'd jump - with apologies to both Simon and the bloke if I'm wrong - to the conclusion the guy has other ways of making his money.

I didn't even watch the interview because it is just absurd to try and be a pro and give everyone a 3-5 second start. That's essentially light years.

It's not about doubting. Using ATR and RUK pictures is needlessly handicapping yourself. It's like getting into the boxing ring and punching yourself in the face three times first. You might well win the fight but you're still an idiot.
 
My take from the interview was that the guy is only too well aware of the handicap he faces and he believes there’s an angle to be exploited which he’s (you can choose to believe this or not) managed to do

If your smart why would you handicap yourself in the first place? I can't quite get my head around showing reference to someone who's strategy is essentially retarded.
 
Video is not his only tool and it's not mines either.

I don't get big delays on video about 1 or 2 seconds but I can read a race well enough for that not to matter.

I noticed a horse cruising and jumping well today going better at most and took 25 and just after the 3rd last or thereabouts laid him at 9

That is similar to what he does so the delay doesn't mean very much plus if he is using abot prices are pretty much instant.

I very rarely don't get out instantly and sometimes I am watching the prices not the video.

As he explains there are hundreds of opportunities he's not grabbing 1.05 20 yds from the line which as you say is fraught with danger

Can't be doing too badly id he got Simon attention now can he? Maybe Simon should interview you lol
