I would agree with the too much racing, look at what we have had over the last few weeks with many meetings throwing up 3 and 4 horse races.Agree or disagree this is bound to generate some conversation
The bloke makes some fair - but surely fairly obvious - comments about racing generally, but he is viewing British Pointing through a very narrow prism.I would agree with the too much racing, look at what we have had over the last few weeks with many meetings throwing up 3 and 4 horse races.
The BHA should look at the Irish model, have a maximum of 2 day 1 evening meeting each day and have a maximum 3 meetings Saturday and 3 meeting Sunday.
But they also have to look at the class of races that they are providing and IMHO they need to reduce the number of class 5 and 6 races and pump more prize money into the class 3 and 4 races.
I think if racing is to survive long term there needs to be a reduction of low level, low class horses and encourage owners to aim higher.
How do we get there? I haven't a scooby doo but there needs to be a long term strategy created.
What I cannot comprehend is the dead heads that are heralding the end of PTP’s without realising that not far behind will be NH racingI would agree with the too much racing, look at what we have had over the last few weeks with many meetings throwing up 3 and 4 horse races.
