Well Winter's here evidently so might as well have a thread for this.

Bangor and Leicester both abandoned today, Redcar inspecting again at 9am, heavy rain falling

Today's fixture at Maisons-Laffitte has been called off due to staff action relating to France Galop discussions about the track's future.

Didn't know where to put this so will put it here. Problem at Lingfield, due to overnight vandalism to the starting stalls all races with over 10 runners will be started by flip start, but under 10 runners from the stalls as usual.

Thanks for the message DG.

A lot of punters will have big regrets if they have no access to that info.

Cheers.

Further to the abandonment of Lingfield owing to fog, there is now an inspection at Kempton at 4pm and it ain't looking good.

Jumping at Lingfield Park on Sunday has been abandoned due to waterlogging and a mixed bumper/flat all weather card will now take its place.

Lingfield have taken on Folkestone's December/January fixtures. But how many of them will actually be run? With the heavy clay soil the ground becomes waterlogged so easily at this time of the year.

Ffos Las abandoned on Boxing Day and Huntingdon inspecting at mid-day today owing to threat of flooding.

Officials at Cheltenham are "monitoring high winds" in advance of 12.10pm opening race according to clerk of the course Simon Claisse.
