Real gutsy horse who benefitted from a Fantastic ride from Spencer there.

I highlighted this as a horse to follow prior to Ascot and hasn't stopped improving since. That was a deserved group win for a potential top stayer where a quirky ride was given a fantastic ride by Spencer there.

Good ole Balkan Knight for plugging on into 2nd.
 
Lets hope he is sent hurdling again over the winter. Raced only around 2m over hurdles, he'll surely improve plenty at staying trips and would look really well handicapped from a mark in the 120's.

I would prefer it if they kept him for a Cup campaign. Knowing connections they will probably cash in and sell him now.
 
I was gutted as I thought the old boy Balkan Knight, one of my favourites, had bagged himself a well deserved win there.
 
Yes, me too - I love him and so much deserves to win a big race. So consistent. Still, he won me a load of each way money ......
