I can't claim credit for this as it's lifted directly from the Betfair Forum but a wag on there has posted in relation to yesterday's promising Saint-Cloud debut winner, Lady Frankel, trained by Fabre. As the name suggests, she's a daughter of Frankel. The dam is Lady Vettori, which makes her a half-sister to Lope De Vega. So, very valuable as well as promising. But the name Lady Frankel is pretty unimaginative, really. The poster on Betfair points out that the owners have passed up a golden opportunity to give this filly the glorious moniker of Frankel Vettori.
