Very good sites and cause. It gets worse though. I read an article that told how thieves who are truly intent on stealing expensive dogs own the instrument to detect the chip and simply cut it out of the dogs neck or shoulder so that once healed the dog cannot be identified. Owch.


I guess dogs are now like children, you cannot let them out of your sight. And this probably applies to any cute dog, not just the valuable ones.


A friend has a huge black dog that looks exactly like a wolf and despite licking those he knows to death, he has a nervous growl for strangers - so far no one has tried to steal him!  :brows:
