Ive got a service message in my inbox, but when I try to get to it it tells me that my phone cant acces the site(or something similar) Ive found the site on here (blingmob.com) but anyone know how I can try to get whatever it is ive been sent??

(and yes - I do know its likely to be a spam mesage)

Is your phone GPRS enabled and is it set up? It will probably being trying to download something.

I would be tempted to delete it if I was you.

Service message spam?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can you be charged for receiving "services messages"? (WAP links.)

I just received two of them, unsolicited, from "84966", both
advertising "blingmob.com".

Hi David,

I work for Vodafone and can offer some informal advice.

I've looked up 84966 and see that this number will charge you £1.50
for receiving this message.

To cancel any subscription with this company, you can reply to this
number with the word "STOP" (Must be in capitals).

You can also cancel them by calling WIN PLC on 0845 1309911 or you can
email them at customerservice@winplc.com

I hope this helps.

cheers for that Merlin - just one small thing -Ive just checked my balance and I havent been charged for it, despite having a go at retrieving - so your Dave Glover person ( didnt he die in Emmerdale years ago??) has been stung badly by his people - as I said in my first post - Im well aware that its likely to be a spam one, Im just curious now - so if you see a squished kitty in the road, that'll be me....

Cheers anyway though :D

Trudi I only put the/your programme into google it returned the above message.......Yes I feel sure if you did open it YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN CHARGED FOR IT... so learn from this and it WILL save you money in the long term....... norty

P.S don't know much about any soaps as I rush for the off switch should they come on by mistake on my T-V.. Never ever watched any............ cry cry

Another needing help here. I've just got a new Samsung mobile, my bf tried to send me a MMS message but all it does when I try to open it is says "Receiving" and then it times out and says "unknown subscriber". Does this mean i have to register somewhere? very grateful if anyone can help as im laid up atm & won't be able to get into town until the weekend

You could try going to Menu > Settings > Reset Settings

Which model phone is it and which network are you on ?
