I am extremely sorry that Julie has chosen to resign as a moderator but I understand entirely her reasons for doing so . The four moderators all have busy professional lives( well three unless international playboy counts for Brian ) to lead yet are subjected to constant abuse for complying with the rules of the forum .

I am very sorry to see a great deal of personal abuse being directed on this forum . Col has announced that bad behaviour and breaches of the rules willl lead to placing contributors on moderation control , then suspension and expulsion .

I will make it clear that as far as I am concerned a zero tolerance approach should be adopted to personal abuse . If Col does not agree with me then no doubt he will let me know via PM . I will delete personal abuse .

Damn, just as I was about to let loose too with loadsa personal abuse, flying f*cks and a 'no-holds-barred, real Songsheet' type approach to the forum..

Pity...

Not meaning to just mix it here, (well maybe just a little), but what constitutes personal abuse? As you may have noted there is a thread in which an abusive statement is made about my good self which I have requested be deleted or somehow edited. None of this has been done, which leads me to the conclusion that in the moderators opinion it is not abusive. Hence my request for clarification on where we all stand here.

For the record, I would like to re-iterate that I have no problem with the locking of either the arse cup or the muff/wink thread as it is easy to see how both of these could cause offence.

Good Morning.
BRIANH and the ex Mod SONGSHEET are both very good moderaters.

If there are others,i must say that i have not noticed them.

Sorry simmo can you direct me to it .

The point I have tried to make on a number of occasions that there is nothing wrong about being critical of an opinion .

e.g to say that Sinndar would have beaten Sea Bird is a ridiculous statement is acceptable - as distinct from saying that the person who posted it is an imbecile .
