I hear that Swirly Chaser alias Phil (et al) has to go through the ignominy of having his posts vetted by our self-styled moderators (who it should be said strive to do a good job) before he can post anything.

Now while I concede that he may have misbehaved in the past, he is also one of the dwindling few who have anything intelligent (albeit provocative), original or pertinent to say about horse racing (which is the only reason I remain on here).

With half the forum obsessed with vendettas of one sort or another, others that are so dull witted it is painful to read, and some that are basically not nice people, we should not be excluding the likes of Swirly.

If we are going to ban anyone, get rid of the dullards, the louts and the self obsessed with nothing better to occupy their time and get the forum refocused on horse racing.

I have never found Swirly to be offensive even though he tends to call a spade a spade. Yes he has been a little naughty, even high spirited, at times particularly under former incarnations, but he has a good go at analysing the subject we are supposed to be here for and thinking for himself.

We unfortunately appear to be losing some decent contributors suny bay doesn’t seem willing to take part these days, Maurice is taking a break from the forum and Terry seems much less interested than he used to be (correct me if I’m wrong). Swirly at least gives some dynamic and meaning to the forum. Unless he has perpetrated something so heinous as to shake the foundations of human decorum and decency (which I very much doubt) it will be a sorry day in cyber space if he is not reinstated with full user privileges.

Hi Steve
My contribution in the forum is less becasue I am in the coast and dont have internet at home.

the forum is very quite recently but I hope people will be more active in shorter time.

regards

Good to hear that you are not staying away for other reasons suny. I hope the situation will be rectified soon.

Whtatever he has done,he should be allowed to post on the subject of sport.and. in particular,Horse Racing,a subject he appears to have a grip of.

I have just been apprised of the reason he has been banned and although I stand by what I have said about his contributions if what I hear is true I can have no sympathy for his conduct.
