The stewards have banned the jockey for 40 racing days,fined his dad 5000 and banned the horse for 90 days for not trying.
I've just watched a replay and I think that's a bit harsh.

I thought it over-zealous stewarding too Outsider. It looked awful but the horse is well known to be a hound.

On a human level, the trainer and jockey only buried their wife/mother last week. I know that this shouldn't matter, but find it does somehow.
 
You see worse day in day out and not a peep from the stewards. It’s without doubt the most abused rule in racing, but it’s a bit rich to kick one in the teeth for it when a blind eye is turned so often.

The stewards are not aliens to the industry . The problem with common sense is it's not common at all
