Come on people, if I'm starting threads about handicap chases then you lot are too quiet.

That is an interesting '1' in Rathgar Beau's form just five starts ago.

And a lifetime low chase rating... :)

Only 2 1/2 years ago and 1m less than today!

A New Story looks interesting. He was making good ground until hampered by a faller in the Kerry National last time out.

It is an interesting looking race actually. There are plenty that I don't fancy at the weights and the presence of a short-price Nicholl's favourite (unjustly so?) opens things right up.

The two Fitzgerald horses are interesting me, but I'm not sure which one.

You never like to see Tony Martin getting one in off bottom weight either, but at least it doesn't reek of plot-job.

Hey, the old boy could surprise a few here.

It is the week thats in it...things will pick up next week.

Anyway I am off to Naas...a far more interesting card!

Serious after timing here but could not understand the price of Fingeronthepulse today. Thought he would be favourite getting weight off the Nicholls horse.

Serious opposition to Marodima late on today.I had the chance to lay him at short odds last night but decided to have a rare Sunday away from punting to concentrate on the joys of married life.In hindsight I'm sure Ruby could have insisted on riding him.He will be a nightmare to place this season.
