I think Fred is the most likely winner, and Im in probably a bit too much across different multis.

Scanning what else could turn up here, I think it could be the race of the festival. Genuine solid horses that could all go in on a going day.

Fred
Fury Road
Stattler
Vanillier
Ontheropes
Couple more who could divert from the RSA

It gets a lot of stick, but I thought last year’s edition of the race was excellent as well. (Not just the form, but the actual race)

The NH Chase has been taken to a new level in the last few years.

People on here may well remember my being bullish about Vicente in the three or four months leading up to the 2016 renewal because the mark I had for him for beating Un Temps Pour Tout at the November meeting was ahead of any previous winner I'd rated.

Next time out, UTPT was beaten by Native River at the Hennessy meeting.

Vicente didn't run to form in the NH Chase. Instead, Nicholls used it as a prep for the Ayr National which he won at 14/1.

Nowadays, half a dozen runners are going into the race off the kind of mark I had for Vicente. It's a proper G1 race nowadays but that might change in the future.

Codds jocked on Braeside. Fury Road shortening all the time, Rob James maybe. Thanks for heads up Slim, genuinely wouldn’t have checked.
