Anyone else download the new Windows Internet Explorer?? Its pretty cool in terms of lay out, seems quicker plus the text is alot less harsher on the eyes.

Yeah, i do my browsing through AOL, but the text on all the sites i visit is fuller and more professional looking. Good stuff.

I have and generally I like it. The new text-smoothing thing is great, but only if you are running high resolutions apparently.

It does have something of a BETA feel to it and there are a couple of bugs that will drive you mad. The two that get me are that clicking on links in Outlook seems to have stop working (i.e. the browser doesn't launch) and secondly some sites are not written well for it.

When I log into my spreads account a new browser window appears where I can see the message that is being sent to the server, another window appears when I access a market, another when I place a bet, another one when I confirm the bet and finally another one when the bet is confirmed - very annoying.

Hopefully there will be an update release soon. Overall though the tabs work well and the menus are a lot neater and the bugs for me aren't enough to make me uninstall it. Judging by some of the reaction in the press though, millions are not as tolerant as me.

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. Click Tools and then Internet Options. The Internet Options popup window displays.

Microsoft finally caught up with what every other browser was able to do 2 years+ ago, then? The ironic thing is that they were so complacent about their market position that they completely suspended further work on Internet Explorer, until Firefox came out and shamed them into getting back to work.

Wrecking the poker site is one tbing but what the hell have they done to the main site. I cant load anything.

I like IE7 and have been using it for months now in place of Firefox at home. It seems slightly quicker than Firefox for me although that could be my internet connection.

Not a big fan of Betfair's makeover - it's far, far slower than the old site! I'm guessing it's got something to do with upgrading the site for when they start accepting multiple bets, which is imminent I believe.
