Any thoughts on the new online Lottery starting on Monday, your £ will be devided 55 pence into the main pool, 15 pence for administration costs, and 30 pence will go to your nominated charity ?????.

It would be, but it cannot be right - it must cover a number of items. There will be a similarity to Camelot's national lottery apportionment, which is:
50% to prize winners
28% to carities and other lottery awards
13% to VAT, tax and duty
5% to retailers' commission
3% to Camelot's costs (advertising, admin etc)
1% to camelot's profit
Because the new lottery is online it will have some savings and the percentage paid to winners and to charities - which can be nominated from those on a pre-prepared list -will be greater than that in the national lottery. Against that, the total prize pool is likely to be significantly lower.
