In case anyone's missed it at the end of the York Ebor Competition thread I'm putting up this again to try and ensure we get 32 players.

I am looking to trial a new four week tipping competition on here and on FF and there is an opportunity over the four weeks starting a week on Sunday (Sept 8th.)

The first week includes the four day Doncaster St Leger meeting as well as the Irish Leger meeting at The Curragh, the second week includes the Dubai Duty Free meeting at Newbury and the Ayr Gold Cup meeting, the third week has a top Newmarket meeting terminating with the Cambridgeshire and there are good meetings at Gowran Park (NH)and Ascot in week four. The competition is run on a knock out basis and I am looking for 32 players so the first 32 players to put their name forward on the relevant threads on here or FF will form the competition, it won’t work with more unless we get 64 (doubtful) .

The competition starts Sunday week 8th September, each stage of the competition runs for a week and the competition finishes on Saturday October 5th. Players who are knocked out each week can still play for fun thereafter but won’t be included in the competition proper, the same will apply if you don’t manage to post in time to be involved from the beginning of the competition.

The two finalists will contest the final with adapted rules based on Arc day at Longchamp on Sunday October 6th.

The competition is called “The Chase” and is based on the television program of the same name. It is easy to enter and only requires you to pick one horse a day.

I will post the relevant thread called "The Chase" along with the rules and a demonstration how it works next Sunday Sept 1st at around 10am and as I say the first 32 players to volunteer on that thread from here or FF form the competition proper. As soon as there are 32 players I will do the draw and post it up.

I'vejust had to post this on FF as well :) but please note

I have absolutely no idea if this will be popular or whether it will bomb completely, but to be fair to everyone from both forums entries have to be made on the thread called "The Chase" which I am posting up at 10am Sunday to give everyone a fair chance of being in the competition proper .

Unfortunately I'm away for a large part of the comp Roger. I'd have loved to have taken part otherwise. I'm a next time definite.
