I am a big fan of At Fishers Cross but he is extraordinarily short against Reve di Sivola and Celestial Halo -especially the latter on this ground.

AFC drifting a touch

i'd be a bit disappointed if he couldn't beat these. big bucks would **** up in this.

McCoy should have pulled him up imo

Had he been riding it rather than at Newcastle I imagine he might have done ;)

Marvellous from CH - too many gears on that ground. I suspect AFC would have been a creditable second at best - hope he is OK as he remains a horse of great potential .

AFC jumped well enough last year - perhaps he really is ground dependent and unless it is properly soft his jumping suffers.

CH at 11-2 was terrific value.

AFC jumping was horrible all the way round. Got to be something wrong in his back to hurdle like that.

Thanks for the correction fella and apologies to Tony.

I said to someone before he made the mistake when channel 4 were showing the side-on angle in their approach to that hurdle...it looked like his action had changed...then he jumps its weird and his jockey pushes him out to the line,... probably another 2 furlongs away for last place?

Was reading this thread last night and I got it into my head that Celestial was the bet.Had decent match bet against RDS at evens ,modest win bet at9/2 and the reverse forecast.Made my day.

I'd say AFC is going to be one sore horse tomorrow - can't imagine he will get away without some sort of muscle pull/soreness after such a mistake.

surprised to see curtis say after he now goes to the long walk. i'd be holding that thought for now and see how he comes out of this.

Fingers crossed he is OK but I agree his general level of jumping would warrant a physical investigation.
