Newbury to Chelmsford

Well that went well 7 for the Spring Cup . Newbury was seen to be at risk as early as Wednesday was it really impossible for a turf track to be on standby ?

I would have taken the hurdles out and run it at Kempton !

I did the Spring Cup on Thursday but didn't know until the ML this morning that the venue had switched. Even if the entire field had stood their ground I would have left the race alone on the AW.

Shame there is no proper Epsom spring meeting any more they could have been run there .

Odd choice to run that on the AW when theres other turf courses available. I think they ran a whole days worth of NH bumpers at Wolverhampton a couple of years back but that was a backlog caused by frozen ground
