Newmarket draw bias?

Certainly looked like it. I thought Alfred Nobel ran really well; was traveling beautifully most of the way but I don't think he ever had a chance on the near side.

(how many names has McCririck called Alfred Nobel in the last half hour, btw?)

Francome seemed convinced the low draws would be favoured having walked on the surface. Maybe they just went faster over there in that race.

Mind you, most of my top-rated are drawn high too but I've punted a couple from each side just in case, all with the best price guarantee.

There is no draw bias but all the pace horses in the 2yo race were drawn high. So all the low drawn horses in the Cambridgeshire were lemming like taken to the far side, giving up precious ground in the process. Utter farce of a race.
