Sweeping disappointed and again got swamped in the last furlong finding nothing. Should have been fit enough so maybe doesn’t quite get there under that sort of forcing ride.

Dubai Honour was a nice win at the death with Foxes Tale touched off in second. King Frankel a dead loss.

I’d taken Desert Dreamer each way at 12/1 early price, but added to win at 6/1 and again when price got to 5/1. That made it a small loser overall, which was a shame.

Well, money back shot it was. I must be careful not to view this through rose coloured spectacles, but I thought Primo Bacio was hampered at a crucial stage. I’ll stick with her. It was good to see a tracker horse winning, though.

Inveigle was easy to back - but I did and it cost. Not to be trusted anymore this one.

Twilight Calls delivered without much worry so it finished up an ok day.

Meanwhile, at York Vadream didn’t get the best of runs and was beaten into second by a horse that she had had miles behind last time. Just shows the vagaries of the game.
