Nothing clever just top of the seasonal results table being supported in the market. Leicester looks the better option today with only a couple to consider at Carlisle - 12.20 Moss Cloud/McCain, 1.55 Harquet/Bowen
Leicester
1.30 Juno The Muffinman (Vaughan/Johnson)(non-runner)
2.05 Balbriggan (Channon - top track trainer)9/4 won
2.35 Dovils Date (Vaughan/Johnson)(little market support)
3.30 Royal Regatta (Hobbs/Johnson)(1/1 won), danger Take A Bow (Henderson)

Just a small sample that may not be representative but in this case it illustrates the benefit of following trainers supported in the market.

Monday as ever seems a poor day for the punter in general but something has to win every race. No choice in venue as there is only Plumpton over the sticks today.

12.40 Nesterenko (Henderson), other Electrolyser (Henderson 2nd string?)
1.10 Une Artiste (Henderson/McCoy)

There are others that could be considered but curently not being given much market support. I have the selection and the odds sorted but what about a staking method?

Sedgefield today where McCain is the top trainer, but nothing for punters' to get excited about as far as I can see.

1.00 Dakar Run (O'Neill/McCoy)
1.30 Bit Of A Jig (McCain/Maguire). Rev It Up is fancied to go close (Vaughan/Johnson).
3.30 Vasco Perji (McCain/Maguire)

In my initial post I stated just top of the table trainers with an eye on the market, but there is a bit more to it than that. It is necessary to compile an order of merit and take into account recent form in order to have some definition in the selections to split thse on a par with each other.
Nor am I trying to hide behind my daft non de plume, Bete Noir, my name is Al - could be Al the Punters' Pal.

Ought to have taken in Southwell yesterday where there was some trainer success. So today have checked out Catterick and Ludlow, not that there is much top trainer activity again.
Catterick
Sambelucky (Reveley, top track trainer)
Ludlow
1.10 King Massini (Williams, top track trainer)
2.40 Lancetto (Williams, top track trainer)
3.40 Side Step (Henderson)

Still not decided about a staking plan, but have an idea from an old system filed away somewhere, so may be back later. The problem with these selections at short odds is bumping along the bottom and the inevitable losing run kills any profit.

Missed the past few days owing to ill health.
At present the method is losing owing to short odds and a losing run. Hopefully the strike-rate will improve as the season progresses.
Just two fairly ordinary jump meetings to consider today.
Uttoxeter
12.20 Legacy Gold
1.20 Vujiyama
1.50 Finding Your Feet
2.50 Meirig's Dream (an alternative to consider is Logician)
3.20 Onenightinvienna
Fontwell
12.40 Aldopicgros
1.40 My Miss Lucy (an alternative to consdier is Bull And Bush)

This could be a good thread highlighting stables in form and so on. Nice idea but not sure 6 selections a day is the way?

Im quite a believer in stable form being an underrated factor though

Clivex, I have to agree with your comment re too many selections. So I will introduce some filters and see what transpires.
Filters
1. No bet shorter than 6/4
2. No bet against an odds-on favourite.
3. Eliminate handicap hurdles and bumper races
4. Consider the principal NH card and just better class races from other cards.

That just leaves the Leicester 12.40 today - SILSOL (11/10 fav NO BET)

Boy! These filters sure do bite.
Huntingdon
2.00 RIVERSIDE THEATRE (9/4won)
3.00 WADSWICK COURT (5/2 won)(other is Nordic Quest 8/1 3rd)

Nothing at Taunton where in the feature race 1.40 Funny Star (9/5 won and could have been backed in hindsight)will go off too short.
Nothing at Newcastle where the feature race 2.50 is only class 4 and D McCain has a runner, also top track trainer Lucinda Russell.

(Results: won 2/2, +4.75 to level stake SP).
