Which one is best?
Wife wants DS but is the PSP better?
She likes the girly games and says that PSP is more for lads.
Is this right?
 
I went with the DS because I heard that the psp screens are prone to breaking! :suspect:

Not sure how true that is but I'm very pleased with my purchase. :clap:
 
Depends really, are you into sport or wandering around a garden feeding imaginary animals. If it's the former i'd say PSP if the latter then the DS for that annoying advert for that game they have.

I repeated your question to Mr GG (a gaming nerd) and our conversation went like this....

Mr GG: You like the DS don't you?
Me: Yes I do.
Mr GG: It's for girls, with it's shitty girly games and wanky graphics. The PSP is for boys who appreciate these things more. They wouldn't make a pink PSP. If they've got a Playstation 3 they can use the PSP as a controller.

Our girls have got a pink DS and a pink DS lite and they're very happy with them. They're currently annoyed that my brain age is 26 whereas they're all in the fifties (that brain training game you see on the telly) :clap:
 
Their favourite game is Animal Crossing. I've not tried that, I'm too busy training my aged and decrepid brain. As an added bonus that game has got loads of sodukus to do too.
 
Yes she will have Harry Bloody Potter and the brain ones.
Me, I like Resident Evil where I get to blow brains out :nuts:
 
I used to sell them for GAME and the majority of people went for the DS.

The PSP has better graphics and a top quality screen (although, as already stated they can break easily)

The DS has a much wider selection of games and is very innovative in the control functions is uses (touch screen, blowing into a microphone etc)

Mr GG has summed the game difference up quite well

I would choose a DS
