BANKABLE will not attempt a retrieval mission at Ascot on July 12 with Luca Cumani having “no plans“ at present for the Medicean colt.
The Group 2 Summer Mile had looked a possible next race for Bankable after he had finished fifth behind Mr Aviator in the Royal Hunt Cup when going off at 13-8 favourite for one of the season's big handicaps only to fall victim to a high draw.
Cumani said: "The Summer Mile is shaping up to be a hot race with the likes of Archipenko and Ramonti under consideration and looks like a Group 1 race and I don't want to be going for a Group 1 race with Group 3 money.
“Bankable is still only a Listed race winner and we have no plans for him at the moment.
