Just as a counterpoint.

We entered our mare for Chepstow today on Monday when the going was given as good to soft. By Friday it had dried to good, good to soft in places which was still just about acceptable so we declared as it was a suitable race and the mare was ready to run.

This morning, the CoC reported that it had dried a little more but gave the same going and stick reading. Sam travelled down but after talking to jockeys in early races and walking the course, he has decided against running. As 2 horses have already broken down today, he has our full support.

Another horse pulled out earlier so 10 is now 8. Hopefully it won't go to 7 but, for us, the safety of our mare is paramount..
