Anybody tried to renew their subscription online? I tried, it didn't accpet my card as the price is in Euros and my card can't be used for Euros. I rang them up, spent 25 minutes on the phone to someone allegedly in London who has never heard of Birmingham and couldn't spell it on her own and gave all my details again only to be told that they couldn't proceed with my order - AGAIN. I asked if I would be refunded for my phone call and she seemed to think dialling London numbers is free now (unlikely) so the call would cost be nothing and she suggested I buy a CD from the shop. I could have done that in the first place, I was trying to save time!

Paul, I have no idea about this, but could you try renewing online again and just make sure there isn't a box to check to make the payment in Sterling? Just a thought.

It may be because the card is a Solo card but their website does take Solo (apparently...) I will try again and see if there is a "pay by sterling" option.

Sorted. I went through Norton to the European store so I clicked instead on the UK and Ireland one and had no problems this time. Thanks for the help, Dave.

I used Norton and transferred to AVG before my subscription ran out 18 months ago with no trouble since.

Not to have a clue how to spell it would be I am sure. A teacher of ICT at my school recommended AVG and said it was free but the site I went on stated you had to pay. Can you get AVG for free?

There are two editions, one free and another called 'professional AVG ' which you pay for because it has more facilities but, still cheaper than Norton.

Or you could use a free anti virus programme like AVG .
...or the free Microsoft security which does what it says on the tin - and gratis.

AC - very good - & I wouldn't blame them either, it's a hole!!!
