thought a few of you would like to see these. Was looking at some old pics on the pc last night and dug out some pics from Namibia in 2006. There's quite a few so I've tried not to make them too big and hopefully won't take too long to load :)

I thought i'd put these here as I didn't want to start a new thread for pictures that are so few in number and not racing related. These are the temples/ruins at Angkorland in Cambodia.

Excellent photos, both of you, and many thanks for very different pleasures. The last little monkey is amazing - those eyes! So, no problems in getting around in Cambodia, Euro? I see a white girl on a bike (on the left) in the last shot - quite okay for Westerners to wander around at will, no guides, etc.? Amazing avenue of statues and fantastic stone carvings - how old is the place?

They date from the end of the 12th Century.

My impression was that Westerners were totally safe, I saw plenty of them on Bike's riding between the different monuments. Even at night I saw a few women on their own perfectly happy wandering round.

To get round the place we used a kind of motorbike version of the Thai Tuk-tuks - and the Cambodian drivers were less prone to taking you to Indian suit makers on the way to the places you went to see. Although when we reached each site they did park-up at the furthest possible point away from where you wanted to be so you had to wade through all the children who were on hand selling everything from refreshments and guide books to postcards, little Buddha's and bracelets's. Said children were absolutely irresistable - I ended up giving them dollars even when I wasn't after the tat they were selling.

Terrific pictures, Euro, thank you for sharing. Cambodia looks and sounds a lovely place to visit.

What an amazing tree growing over the temple in the first shot. You wouldn't happen to know what kind it is or how old it is, by any chance, please?

They are Banyan Trees. I have no idea of the age, maybe the same as the temples I suppose.

Email away G-G, your mate will not be disappointed.

Great pictures. Love the animal shots, Imagine. 'Specially the young Cheetah. Fantastic animals. And the lion cubs.
Have never been to that 'far' an East Euro but have always fancied Vietnam. Did you go?
