Anyone familiar with parking around the area.

I'm going there on Thursday evening to watch the 'Varsity' match, son playing.

Given that I'm probably arriving at 19:15 and the match is at 19:45, I need to be sure of a parking space on my arrival.

Thanks in anticipation, MR2

Been to 'Fortress Meadow Lane' many times as I lived there for years and before learning how to drive and was able to take myself off to the Mecca of football (Elland Road) I adopted Notts as my half team in preference to the scum on t'other of Trent. Always used to use the cattle market on Meadow Lane itself (about 5 mins walk). Local pubs (they've probably changed name now) were the Magpies and the Trent Navigation. There's a trendy one on Trent Bridge itself that definately changes name every 2 years, (last known as the Aviary) but is known to me as the 'Town Arms' (one of your correspondents less then most glorious episodes in 1982 occurred there - we won). On the other side of the bridge is the Trent Bridge Inn, known as the TBI which is very much a cricket pub, but it's normally full of Forest filth. You're probably better off drinking in West Bridgeford than Notingham though. Enjoy!!! It's a good place and County are (or were) a very hospitable and friendly club
