Perhaps one of our resident NTL people can explain a phenomenon that has now happened twice. While away I set my video to record three episodes of The West Wing from E4. I set the cable box to 144, which is E4, the channel on which the programme is broadcast. When I returned the box was still on 144 but while I was away it had changed from being E4 to being UKTV and back again! I got the first West Wing and instead of the next two episodes I got repeats of old editions of They Think It's All Over and other comedy shows. This happened to me once before. Thank heavens I got someone to record The Sopranos for me.

I have no intention of ringing NTL's customer service department as life is too short but if anyone does have an idea I'd be interested from an academic point of view in what could have caused the channel to have changed.
 
I'd take a long hard look at the butler..... :P

I've just watched the whole of series 4 ( 23 episodes in 5 days ). I'm stuck now till series 5 comes out, so have opened up the bidding on Six Feet Under tonight on ebay.
 
Sorry Brian . It's got to the stage where sensible dialogue is imposible and it's gonna get much worse . Can I recommend Sky :lol: I'm outta here come 29th Dec. If anyone knows if Sky are looking for a DTV software specialist , I'm up for employment :D
