... as against 'Chicken Tonight': BBC2, 9.00pm, from this week's Radio Times:

"Is cannibalism still part of the lives of West Papua's Kombai people? Bruce Parry is deep in unexplored territory as he samples the hunter-gatherer life. (K: not TOO much sampling, under the circumstances, I hope.) But tales of eating witches from a rival clan have to be squared off with Parry's friendly welcome into the tribe."

"Do you want that supersized?"

I switched over at the pig-killing, before they shot arrows into it, and switched off completely when they opened up the tree for big, fat, squirming white maggots to eat live.

It was a fantastic programme, Jon - I saw all of the Tribe series first time around and they were excellent.

Mind you, if the maggots were enough to make you squeamish, it's a good job you didn't watch until the end - the bit where they pushed a thick thorn through the septum in his nose was enough to bring tears to my eyes! Not to menttion the things they did to him 'down below'..... :what:

Now, I don't know if you're winding me up or not... plunging into the dangerous abyss of assumption that you're not, 'Chicken Tonight' is a sauce for chicken. And it ain't never gonna be on in your house!

I wasn't winding you up Kri. I thought you were talking about the programme on abattoirs jinny mentioned.
