from my once viewing of the films, I belive Frodo failed to destroy the ring, and it was only a timely intervention from Sam Fat-Halfling that saved the day. Frodo is overrated.
...also has no scope ~ typical early sort, and won't train on. Being a halfling does at least offer the prospect of improvement with age. It's Fat Sam for the ante-post portfolio. Lay Frodo in his next three runs.
Was rather amusing when I first saw the first movie in the trilogy with friends who had already seen it once. We're in the cinema and Fatling and Frodo have their meaningful gaze moments at the end and two of us raised eyebrows and open our mouths to make a comment similar to those posted on here, before we can utter a word the 'big moment' of the film's ending was ruined by another friend cutting us short and yelling
