There was a recent posting - which I couldn't find - about online petitions. They do exist, including those entered on the recently created number 10 petition site for petitions sent for the express attention Mr Tony.
Among the 85 fine petitons currently available for signature on the site are: "We the undersigned petition the prime minister to stand on his head and juggle ice cream". This has attracted an encouraging sixteen signatures.
"We the undersigned petition the prime minister to replace the national anthem with Gold by Spandau Ballet," has so far found a healthy seven backers.
Curiously, though, "We the undersigned petition the prime minister to stay in his post until at least the next general election" has garnered only two supporters.
