There`s alot of talk in these parts about Unioniste for this race on Sat some shrewdies i know are on at 6s.
Currently first reserve, only 4 all trends appear against him,
PN thinks he could be well in when you claim 5 and factor in weight for age.

I fancy Astracad hoping the ground doesnt get too bad

Not a good renewal (possibly Walkon apart), and I think Unioniste could be a real blot. Those who have taken the 6/1 are well-on, imo.

Tempted to give Michael Flips another chance. The Paddy Power was too hot for him and lto he was outpaced over 17f. Off 142 he has each way claims.

Astracad for me. A rampant STD in Liverpool on Saturday….I predict a few more victims this weekend.

Walkon is a solid proposition, but 5lb rise is a tough ask. He’s placepot material, though.

Notus de la Tour the other one for the tricast….he has decent enough form over 2m4f over hurdles, so I am not worried on that score.

I think Unioniste needs 4 miles.

Wishful Thinking for me. I know he's not fancied in the betting, as the young and improving types take centre stage in the market (and rightly so), but his last run would have done a lot of good to the horse confidence wise, and with a clear round I think his proven class will see him run a big race.

Hell’s Bay - d

Kingsmere reportedly hated the ground last time in the Mackeson so the rain won’t have helped his chances. Nadiya De La Vega was third then and is only 5lbs better in with runner-up Walkon for 12 lengths. To cut to the chase, I think this is between Notus De La Tour, Unioniste and Wishfull Thinking. Notus De La Tour, you imagine, could have run that day but the yard had the hotpot in Grands Crus. Unioniste is being widely tipped and the bookies appear to be ducking him but I’m not convinced about the jockey. Wishfull Thinking disappointed frequently last season but looked back to his best last time out and could be well handicapped despite top weight. The percentage call has to be Unioniste, though, as he’s the least exposed, potentially the best handicapped and the privileged claimer can at least take another five off.

I'm going with Notus de la Tour. There was a fair bit of money going around for him yesterday or so I am told. He finished 2nd in the Fred Winter here and was heavily backed to win the Byrne Chase at the festival only to fall early doors.

Before that he was no match for Flemenstar but the fact he even took him on gave a hint to how good David Pipe thinks the horse can be when he's on song.

David Pipe could have given him a run but is going straight here which convinces me the dogs aren't barking just for the fun of it and I can see him running a huge race.

If walkon runs the race he did in the PP he will be bang there.Ive backed him but doubting myself now

His tendency to make jumping errors is an obvious concern but I thought Hell's Bay made a reasonably encouraging seasonal/stable last month. He'll do for me at silly prices.

Good round of jumping from Unioniste, I was well wrong with him.

Gallant effort from Walkon to be second in both the big two and a half handicaps.

Any word of Cristal Bonus?
