Can anyone on here confirm if a qualifier is cancelled all horses declared to run automatically qualify for the final at the festival.
 
Im pretty sure they changed the rules Brian. If it isn’t run they need to go and qualify somewhere else.
 
Yup, they might put another one on - but basically it’s tough and you have to go and qualify somewhere else.

It was getting abused because everything that was entered qualified, and trainers were waiting to enter wherever bad weather was a risk. I think they reduced the number of qualifiers from 8 to 6 at the same time.
 
Oh there was a time anything that ran qualified anyway - I remember taking batman to at least three just to have half a chance to qualify for a festival race. Daft IMO.
