Yes, though I don't recognise the precise medical terms you use. He was mentally ill, suffering from manic depression (which these days we must call bi-polar disorder) and had frequent anxiety attacks. When Geoffrey Rush was cast to play Sellers in the film Stephen Hopkins, the director, said that he was the ideal actor for the role as "he is great at playing loonies".
