Piss-ups

Bath racecourse on a non-racing day when I was 15 and had just finished my O levels. 12 of us (all female I may add, sadly) took an obscene amount of cider on a liquid picnic up in the middle of the course. None of us appeared in assembly the next morning.

The A Level bash was probably more full-on (harder liquor) but afer I had drunk my way through the entire menu of cocktails on the Montpelier wine bar (Cheltenham) menu, I passed out, so as piss-ups go, it may have had the edge but I can't remember much past 9.30!

It was at the Phoenix Music Festival in 1996. I arrived there on the Saturday morning as I couldn't miss school so close to my A Levels. With my friend, Dan, I wandered round for a little while then went to see Tricky. Bob Dylan was next so we went back to our tent and played cards. We had a litre bottle of whisky each and drunk them both in the 45 minutes Bob was playing for. Heading out of our tent ,on the way to see Orbital is the last thing I remember until I woke up in hospital 18 hours later. I had been found by the St John's crew in a ditch half dead from hypothermia and in an alcoholic coma. :shy:
I was so drunk when they found me that I told them all my details so my mom was sat by the side of the bed. I woke up and couldn't see for nearly 3 minutes which was scary. Dan was in even worse shape so I had to take 2 sets of parents back to the campsite to collect our stuff (without my glasses I should add) I am eternally grateful to the people in the tent next to ours who had a huge flag welcoming everyone fom the planet Moog. If not, I may still be searching now!!
Next!!!!

I have to say that it serves you right for deciding that it was better to get pissed than to listen to one of the half dozen great influences on popular music in the 20th century...

I once spent from 11am on a Saturday till 3am Sunday drinking whisky with Paul Leach and another bloke from the next village....

A few weeks later was my Lady Godiva for the New Years fancy dress party -I was fairly well gone then too :shy:

Heck that is hardcore Trudi.
I normally drink about 4 Southern Comfort and Cokes and i'm in tears :(

We drank ourselves sober a couple of times..... ( I think!!! ) I'm a lot cheaper to take out these days petal..... B)

We drank each one how the others do - I drink mine with lemonade, Paul used to drink his with water ( Bleugh!! ) and Robin had his neat ( he was a tidy gardener - he liked things neat! ) and we alternated each one......

Dont remember paying for very many of them either - one of those two must have been very poor by Sunday morning !!!!!!

Three ladies from the Deep South talking bout their boyfriends

One says "My man's called Randy, and he's a fantastic lover, really randy"

Second one says "Mine's called Slim, he's got a fantastic body, nice and Slim"

They look at the third one "What's your's called Hun ?"

"Mines called Southern Comfort"

"Say ain't that some kind of fancy liquer ?"

"That's my boy !"

I'm sure you aren't Trudi but do you drink rum and coke? B)

An amazing New Years party where we touched base with at least 6 different parties . We stopped off at them all for about an hour armed with a Pulp cd (year 2000) and managed to get everyone up dancing at each party before we left . :D When our work was done we went on to the next :D The night finished up with our boss opening the boot of his car to reveal 100 plus bottles of champagne and me getting some extremely valuable photos of a couple of local concert promoters playing strip poker

I have always found it amazing how a nice win increases your ability to drink. After Anzum won the Stayers Hurdle (at 40/1)I horsed back pints of Guinness for about 12 hours.

Bloody hell Paul I hope none of your students read that !

I shall not tell of an evening where I sang Smoke gets in your eyes to a whole pub to tumultuous applause and knocked over a table of drinks as an encore - and it wasn't a karaoke night ! :shy:
