I'm pinning for a while so that as many forum members as possible can read it.

It's time for us all (me included) to stop sniping and continuing the very trivial inter-forum member disputes that are constantly simmering away below the surface in most cases, let alone the blatantly obvious insults that one or two keep slinging at one another....

This is directed at just about everyone on here - there aren't many that haven't had their little digs at others on a personal level.

I'm all for a zero-tolerance stance for a few weeks and I'd like to get the support of Col, Paul, James and Brian too when he returns to administer this in an effort to 'clean up' the board.

So this would cover:

Anyone 'having a go' at Kathy/ former TH forum members,/ JinnyJ either overtly or covertly. Any generalised posts aimed at a particular nation or race. Blatant promotion of personal businesses/websites without clearing it with Col first. And of course a proper adherence to the existing Board Rules.

As An rightly says elsewhere, this is getting to be both boring and tedious and we need to get a grip or the Forum will stop being about racing and merely be a platform for a lot of lonely people to vent their frustrations on. Not an attractive proposition.

Anyway, think on - if there's enough support to do something about it, I am sure Col will endorse the trend.

I think I should be made a moderator as I would be completely fair to everyone, whilst sticking to the forum guidelines.

It's very easy to make me a moderator - so it's very easy to take away that status if it doesn't work out.

Of course, one thing that wouldn't happen is I wouldn't be learning all the funny little handshakes that you all know.

They haven't told you about the secret blood rite involving live bats, have they, Phil? It's what put me off, to be honest. That, and the prospect of having to moderate you, a first-class turncoat if ever there was. Why can't you return to your past multiple-personality disorder, insult people freely, blast aside people's most dearly-held ethics, theories and opinions, and snigger constantly when they rise to your bait? Since you fell foul of that most bourgeois of institutions, 'further learning' through the OU, you've become as tame as Aunt Jemima's old pug dog. Actually tamer, since that still has a couple of teeth.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, we've done the topics that bring people to the point of hysteria or homicide: abortion, euthanasia, sex, capitalism/anti-capitalism, homosexuality, political correctness, Bernard Manning, sex, slavery, despots and regimes, Rooster Booster, sex, Montjeu vs that old hack Sinndar, prison, the police, war, politics, religion for/against, getting old, the young today, sex...

I think we're just left with jam-making recipes and sex.

People having a good go at one another over any contentious subject matter isn't a problem - some of the discussions on here have been cracking and many on here have the tolerance levels required to be able to appreciate another point of view, even it it is diammetrically opposed to their own.

As to discussing sex on here, I rather feel there are too many poor souls on here who won't be able to remember what that's all about...

Yes, I agree with you entirely on the perpetual snipes and snide remarks about Kathy/Shadow/jinny. Can we just give it a rest - I've met all three ladies, and can attest that they're all blonde and barking mad, as all blondes are. So let's stop the abuse, shall we?
