We bought a second hand fridge last night, it was one of those built in types but we are using it in the shed as a "Hanging" area for the chooks when we do them, anyway it wasn't until we got home that we realised it has a two pin plug on it shrug:: never seen a fridge with one of those on, so does anyone know if you can wire it into a three pin plug?

Not sure IS, but it was installed in a new built house so I assume it wasn't imported etc its called a Brandt

Stick a pen in the top hole of the 3 pin socket, this should allow you to squeeze the 2 pins into the remaining 2 holes - should work ok.

You need to check whether the fridge is double insulated. If so then a three pin plug would be OK without the earth connection. If not the Melendez scenario comes into play and you'd be risking a shocking experience.
