Seven races for tomorrow at the Sussex track, with CUE CARD appearing at 1.00 pm. Just had an email update on conditions, for those of you interested in punting any runners:

Last night was dry with a light leaf frost only. Today and overnight dry, with rain forecast for some time Monday afternoon. Plumpton's own partial frost covers have been down since Friday on take-off and landing sides and footpath crossings. The going stick reading at 7.30 a.m. today was 5.1 Hurdles, 5.4 Chase.

Good luck if you're betting.

Oh, shit - is he out? The RP still shows him entered up! That'll reduce the interest in the day for a lot of people. I know he dropped out of Ascot, but with the £60,000 bonus at Plumpton on offer, I was sure he'd run. Why is he out, Hamm, do you know?

This is the weirdest thing - I clicked on Cards, then Tomorrow, and Plumpton on the RP site for the first posting, which looked like they'd still got up the 24-hour decs, and now it's the same as the Sporting Life. You're quite right, Hamm, the field is down to a handful and CUE CARD isn't there, and they have got up the same info now that we've been emailed, so the whole topic's a bit pointless.

I thought that the yard would've really hunted that sixty grand, so it's strange he's been pulled out.

I was concerned on the other thread that the ground would be too testing and I can only assume that is why he isn't running there.

No inspection planned - there's a light 'crust' of frost, but it's not into the ground. Now the forecast is for heavy rain this afternoon, so Arkwright, if you're coming, it's mac and wellies time! And presumably only real slush lovers will prevail.

Aw, I love ME JULIE! She's such a cutie, although struggled last time out. Blimey, though, how about GORING TWO? Took off like a greyhound out of the traps on the final bend! Dear wee George Goring (he being One or Two of the Goring twins) was there, bouncy 73 years old, as well he might be with the Goring Hotel backing up his sponsorship of Anna Newton Smith's yard and his own horses. I had a brief look over the website and fairly swiftly departed it when I saw "rooms from £395 per night... ", however, it transpires that the Middleton Gang stayed in suites costing £5,000 a night for the wedding of Miss Katie. And you can't stay in these for a single night - the minimum has to be three!

And Arkwright is now sitting down to a tasty meal of mushy pies and humble pie - ahem! What was that biting comment about BALLINHASSIG keeping to slow ptp's? I do so hope you availed a fiver e/w of that 66/1, just for old time's sake?
