We were discussing Billy Fury and his horse which ran in the Derby on another forum; and doing a bit of googling I came across this wonderful soundtrack of Prince Monolulu the great tipster of the 30s/50s. Was he the first rapper do you think?

I think this recording is from Billy Fury's film "I've Gotta Horse" loosely based on his Derby runner Anselmo

I recently purchased Billy Fury's Greatest Hits and can thoroughly recommend it to all. Marvellous work. Knowing that he was a horse owner has stepped him up another notch in my estimation.
