Oh dear Frankie

Not his finest hour but would evidently only have been second in any event .

Dawn Approach and Toronado , despite their recent reverses , look head and shoulders above the other milers now unless Moonlight Cloud were to surprise us and turn up at Ascot

At first you'd have to put this down as a shocker from a number of jocks but Maxios deserves some credit for sustaining his effort for so long, they didn't make up much ground on him despite him going for home a long way from home.

Apparently, Frankie said Olympic Glory didn't handle the turns - strange he managed them perfectly well in the Prix Jean Luc Lagardere ?

I thought he was wrong after the Poulains having been drawn out wide - I don't remember the track being given as an excuse .

Frankies talking bollocks, he anchored him out the back and gave the front runners too much rope. You would have expected them to gain more ground on the winner though despite that.

It's funny that the 3yo miling form has taken a few knocks recently whilst the much maligned Epsom form is getting stronger by the day!

How is it? ROTW and Ocovango ran to pretty much the same level as at Epsom in a Group 2 against a Japanese horse who is likely to come on half a stone for the run.

So you'd ignored the shockers from ROTW, Libertarian, Talent in Ireland since Epsom? The form had been questioned by most, me included, but since being given a rest after Ireland both winners have come out and proved those runs all wrong.

I don't think the form was ever as chronic as was painted, the ground in Ireland for the Oaks and the Derby was very fast and none of the trio mentioned could handle it.
