Answer the HORSE RACING question correctly and then you ask a question.

Which horse holds the record for the most wins in the Hennessy Gold Cup?

Well my answer is that Mandarin, Arkle and Denman all hold the record having won it twice?

So my random question is, which horse owned by Mrs Stewart Catherwood and trained by Sir Alan King won the old long distance Weatherby's Grade 2 Hurdle at Ascot, before finishing third behind Ryalux and Stormez in the Scottish Grand National the following year.

And what a jumper he was btw, in my head anyway.:)

Railway Strike.

For Christmas my sister bought me a 40th Anniversary Tribute book celebrating the works of Queen (used to be a fan) In 1976 the band released A Day at the Races and sponsored a race at Kempton Park on Oct 16th. They put in £3K as prize money (sizeable in those days) and attracted a star studded field:

Two Miles and a half and 90 yards.

1 Comedy of Errors 9 12 2
2 Lanzarote 8 12 2
3 Sea Pigeon 6 11 7
7 Miss Melita 5 11 2
8 Ross Du Vin 5 11 2
11 Flying Price 7 10 11
12 Lantern Light 8 10 11
13 Oakley 6 10 11
14 Valse 6 10 11

What was the 123?

Lanzarote 1 Sea Pigeon 2 Comedy of Errors 3 ?

Lanzarote always won at Kempton as far as I can remember - hence the hurdle being named after him !

Good grief, it's a long way from Queen to Norwegian Black Metal ( assuming from your nic -- Euronymous; Varg Vikernes; et al).
That's some journey you took ! :)
