I nipped into a pub yesterday for a pee and noticed Sky Sports showing racing on one of the screens.

I wasn't aware they covered racing. Which tracks do they show?

At the races is sky sports newbury and Chepstow are 2 and ascot I think.

Don't think I've been down Victoria Road since I worked in the area 25 years ago. Hate all the one-way palaver.

(The in-laws swear by the home made ice cream in the Queen's Cafe, though.)

I must come up with some kind of excuse to try the Star Bar lunch, though.

Perhaps the most amazing thing is that it was £5 twenty years ago and hasn't gone up in price since.

There used to be a pub in High Blantyre did the same. The biggest and best plate of mince, potatoes and peas I ever had (apart from my own and my mammy's ). Then they moved to Hamilton and went upmarket.
