Hi my understanding is racecourses are graded 1-4, they used to be A-E. What I would like to know is how would they be graded today using the A-E grading.
Is it just a matter of saying 1=A, 2=B, 3=C, 4=D. Does that mean no racecourse is any longer rated E.
Can anyone list the racecourses Flat and NH using the old A-E grading, for both UK and Irish courses.

There is no definitive list of course grades, the HRA abolished it some years back and any list published now is opinion rather than official.

Ok thanks for that, what in your opinion then would be the grades of racecourses on an A-E basis.
 
I am trying to put together a basic idea along the lines of The Solidus, when it was written the courses were rated A-E, I too would like a list of the courses rated this way if possible.
The flatstats rate them 1-4. Is that the equivalent of A-D, are there no longer courses rated E.
 
Here's a spreadsheet with UK racetrack info someone compiled ages ago so the draw bias stuff might be out of date for right-handed tracks. Thing is you have to be a member and I don't want to join so can't reproduce it here, but if you want to join to access the info it might help

Tracks are graded as A, B, C & not 1, 2 3 etc.
 
Thanks Diamond Geezer not really willing to join either at £47, surely someone most know about rating tracks A,B,C,D,E. I don't think I will use the site enough.
