You all probably know that I'm working for a branded mortgage lender . Although my job is mortgage consultant we're bonused on sales of credit cards bank and savings accounts and personal loans . We need to convert a certain percentage to sale to keep our jobs so every month we have a "fun" competition to encourage sales . Last month it was PGA golf and I hate golf which is beside the point because I hate management gizmos more
Probably because I was reluctant to participate in the golf challenge my manager has asked me to run ther next month's competition. So I thought racing :D
The way it works is that for every lead generated the person gets a point so what I thought was for the next month I could add up all the entries each week and then put them in a sweep for the big weekend races .If I have the cut off as Fri aft we shouldn't get too many non runners . I can't believe that this was my manager's idea because he's basically giving me permission to access the RP site during office hrs ,ahem so I can check for non runners you understand :D If I take all the leads on a Fri afternoon and then match them with the one or two of the big weekend entries I've got an excuse for checking running , going and entries the day before ,while I'm in work  Whoever wins or gets placed gets points depending on their performance . We do the comp every week and it gives me an excuse to bring my hobby to work . He's a great manager and he has to follow what he's told to do but he makes it as easy on us as he can. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could spice the comp up a bit?

Do you mean as an in-house prize for the winner, Sols? How about a day at the races for the winner and guest, with a free £10 bet each? You could offer to be their tipster for the day, too!

That's a good idea but I don't think I would put myself forward as a tipster . Last time I went to the races was Downpatrick and my tipping was seriously flawed but I do threaten my manager with witholding tips if he gives me a bad appraisal :D

What are you doing still up at this time ? :D

I fell asleep during the racing replays and then again during CSI this evening - two terrible misdemeanours! So I didn't feel too sleepy, but now I'm wilting a bit and I've just noticed the crazy time. Good morning! And good night! :D Speak to you soon, Sols.
