Hi

Do you pay for RP membership? It has been a long time since I was interested in racing and only recently been in a position to revisit all my old haunts.

This will probably sound stupid to people but I nearly fell off my chair when I couldn't access the form pages of the RP without being asked to cough up money.

Few years ago. If you're serious about form study I don't see how you can get by without it unless you're subscribing to TF or any other such organisation.

Much cheaper than buying the paper a couple of times a week.

The form pages themselves are accessible free of charge, though without the ratings etc, that you get for the price of basic membership.

I use RP exclusively for the form database and nothing else. I don't need or want to pay to get access to their Ratings, Spotlight comments, Early Prices or anything else they expect to charge for.

I rarely use the RP website (which is a train-wreck) even for News these days, since they changed it a few months back.

If the RP eventually hid the form database behind membership, I'd simply use of of the other freely-available platforms (e.g. Sporting Life, RUK, Timeform/Betfair etc).

Noticed today that the newspaper now shows when a horse is having its first run since gelding. Nothing on the website though, which is a bummer, really.
